Why is helping the environment so important to Avery?

Helping office workers is very important to Avery. The company has been striving to understand the daily frustrations office workers face for the last 75 years.

Research in 2010 showed that 69% of office workers believe being eco-conscious at work will make a substantial difference to the environment. However less than a quarter of UK offices have a full environmental policy in place. Because of this Avery wanted to help office workers make some changes to make their office greener.

During Green Office Week Avery wanted to:-

• Raise awareness that:
  • office workers aren't taking their environmental responsibilities seriously at work
  • everyone can do something to change that, no matter what your role in your organisation
• Inspire both consumers and customers to make some changes
• Empower and equip office workers with some really easy to implement hints, tips and materials
• Demonstrate that competitiveness in the marketplace can be gained from leaner, greener working practices.
